New York Monday # 46: On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever)
Sorry I missed posting photos last week. My schedule has become even busier and I wasn't able to do any blogging or visit other blogs.
Here are some shots overlooking the Hudson river. On a clear day it's a beautiful sight. Mischief Mari usually comes up with tunes for some of the photos that I post (like here and here). This time, the lyrics to a song that Barbara Streisand sings came to mind as I stared out into the clear view. Here are the words to the song On a Clear Day. Anyone familiar with it?

On a Clear Day (You Can See Forever)
LyricZZ.com
On a clear day
Rise and look around you
And you'll see who you are
On a clear day
How it will astound you
That the glow of your being
Outshines every star
You'll feel part of
Every mountain, sea and shore,
You can hear from far and near
A world you've never never heard before
And on a clear day
On a clear day
You can see forever and ever and ever and ever more.
Have a good week!
Best,
Paz
P.S. I'd like to wish all those celebrating Deepavali and the end of Ramadan, a joyous time!

Well, lookie, lookie...who's a romantic at heart? I just had a hunch about you, lovely Paz. And I think it's a very appropriate song for the view in this post. Here's another song that came to mind when I saw those photos: "I Can See Clearly Now" by Jimmy Cliff.
Have a super-duper week! cheerio, mari
Gorgeous photos Paz! Hope you're coping OK with the hectic schedule and that this ease up soon :)
bacioni paz, don't forget to eat!
Hi Paz, your pix aren't showing up on my browser, thanks for stopping by my site.
"I Can See Clearly Now" -- one of my favorites. :)
One of my sons had an apartment overlooking the Hudson. It's really beautiful and there's a lot to see, walking along the shore: houseboats, people in kayaks, etc. Farther north, past the city, I always think of Indians and how it must have been a couple hundred years ago.
I wish I was there seeing it in person :)
Happy Id to you, Paz
Hi Paz,
Barbra played a reincarnated person in the movie and if I remember correctly her psychiatrist (after he is convinced of her non-insanity) turns out to be her lover in one of her previous lives...
Soppy movie but moving song. Good choice!
Interesting pictures! I'd also love to be there...
Thanks Paz for the Diwali wish and for the beautiful pics!!
Sweet Paz, I'm back. I have at last sorted the internet connection in the new house as well as the wireless connection. Ufa!
